Siemens NX Programmer

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks in their day to day roll:

• NX Programming of multiple aerospace fabrications
• Adaptive machining techniques to achieve a product fit for purpose
• Machine fixture design for manufacture where required
• Modification of existing machine fixture to meet new manufacture process
• Management of work through company PLM software
• Liaise with different suppliers where required
• Decide upon tooling strategies to best suit process
• Aid the setting of fixtures and tooling on 5 axis machine centres
• Machining of Aerospace Heat exchangers and Cold plates through to FAIR sign off
• Support the proving out of new NC programmes alongside operators
• Deliver all supporting documentation for along with NC programs leaving each process fit for manufacture.

Previous Experience

• High level of understanding in various Siemens NX environments – CAM, Modelling Drafting of high importance
• Good understanding of Siemens Teamcenter
• Setting & operating 5 axis machine centre’s
• Vertical 5 axis machine centres – Matsuura & Mazak would be ideal
• Mazak Intergrex (Tilting ‘B’ Axis) experience
• Aerospace or Oil & Gas background favourable
• Self-Inspection techniques
• Knowledge of industry standard measuring/ inspection techniques
• PC Dmis knowledge advantageous – CMM operating
• High level of understanding of adaptive machining – Renishaw probing
• CG Tech Vericut experience would be useful

• HNC or equivalent in a related field
• Recognized engineering apprenticeship e.g. City & Guilds/ BTEC Level 3 or equivalent
• Good level of numeracy and literacy
• Good level of IT skills
• Strong communication skills
• High attention for detail
• Good housekeeping – knowledge of 6 Sigma, ACE or TPS advantageous
• Good Teamwork skills
• Ability to work alone
• Ability to work to strict & Demanding deadlines
• Willing to work shifts and flexibility to meet changing demands
• Commitment to continuous improvement

£35.00 – £45.00 per hour
