Material Handler/FLT Driver/Crane Operator
We are recruiting for a Material Handler/FLT Driver/Overhead Crane Operator in the Smethwick area.
This is a mornings/afternoons weekly rotating shift pattern> 8 hour shifts, Mon to Friday 6am till 2pm on Days, rotating to Mon to Friday 2pm to 10pm Nights. Every third Saturday you will work a Saturday morning shift.
You will be responsible for manoeuvring steel around the workplace, loading and unloading machinery. To be considered for this role you MUST have operated overhead cranes and counterbalance forklift trucks within the steel industry, or have other similar experience within the steel industry, such as running slitting lines, decoilers, shearers, etc. Duties include:
Despatch area
Operating overhead cranes
Operating FLT (Counterbalance)
Flex 4 way Truck license preferred but not essential
Loading and unloading steel coils
Handling Steel product
This is a long term position where if you show the right attitude and application you could be considered for future operator vacancies within the business.
