Electrical Maintenance Technicians

Inside Right has exciting opportunities for 2 permanent, experienced, Multi-Skilled or Electrical Maintenance Technicians/Engineers to join an established international company in the Oldbury/Smethwick area.

This global company prides itself on employee development & support, with a very good team spirit evident within its workforce. The position would report directly into the Site Operations Manager.

Successful candidates will join a company which invests significantly in employee training including 18th Edition courses as well as HNC qualifications to up skill its workforce. Increased skills capability within this company is also reflected in wage progression.

Two shift rotating pattern:

*Week one – Monday to Thursday 6am – 4pm and Friday 6am – 1.30pm
*Week two – Monday to Thursday 6pm – 6am


Three shift rotating pattern:
*Week one – Monday to Friday 6am – 2.30pm
*Week two – Monday to Friday 2pm – 10.30pm
*Week three – Monday to Friday 10pm – 6.30am

Job Purpose: To provide swift and effective servicing and maintenance of all production related equipment

Key Accountabilities:

* Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting electrical, electronic and mechanical problems on machines
* Drive a pro-active maintenance and repair approach
* Ensure that adequate and appropriate spare parts are readily available

Qualifications/Experience required:

* 17th/18th Edition or City & Guilds Electrical qualification
* proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer with the ability to carry out mechanical repairs
* Read and fault find from electrical and electronic schematic drawings
* Experience working with a mechanical maintenance schedule

Time-served maintenance engineers would be equally encouraged to apply for these roles, especially those used to working with conveyors, pneumatics, hoppers and motors.

Good verbal communication is critical as well as the ability to communicate technical information to managers.

The successful candidates will be self-motivated and have the ability to apply initiative when tackling repairs and maintenance.

Computer literacy with some basic knowledge of Windows operating systems would be beneficial.
