CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator
An established engineering company in the Walsall/Tamworth area is looking to recruit 2 CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operators.
The positions will be long term, permanent vacancies.
The role responsibilities will include:
– Producing high quality machined components on time to a schedule from engineering drawings and work samples using CNC lathes.
– Setting and operating the machines using CAM-based operations to ensure high quality is achieved. Selecting and sometimes editing existing programmes using Fanuc control systems and then selecting the correct tool for each job.
– Generating practical ideas for improving quality and component manufacture.
Specialist CNC turning with live tooling. One-off bespoke turned parts to small and medium batch work all manufactured to specification.
C.N.C PUMA 240M (LIVE TOOLING) 220mm Dia x 450mm (60mm DIA THROUGH SPINDLE)
The successful candidate will have a proven background in CNC machining, preferably having served a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification. The ability to operate and program a CNC lathe, miller or vertical machining centre is essential.
Knowledge of the Fanuc controller software would be advantageous.
Flexibility in hours and approach is required along with the ability to work under minimal supervision to strict deadlines.
The company is offering a competitive rate of pay to the successful candidate who can demonstrate a proven competence in the above skills.
Hours of work will be day shifts, Monday to Friday and with an early finish on a Friday.
