ROLE: Project Manager
LOCATION: Oxfordshire
SALARY: £42,250 – £45,735 PLUS £2,760 car allowance

You will be managing projects (Bespoke Capital Equipment), from point of order, through design, procurement, manufacture, installation, and through to commissioning & handover, including snagging.

Success of project management is defined as success of the projects, measured in the four areas of:
safety, costs, delivery and completion timescales, and at the end of the project, the customer being
happy with the process and likely to recommend or do business with the client again.

Main Duties

• Overall management of projects according to the Kannegiesser Project Management Process. Leading and
• supervising project teams – across several departments, and ensuring that project targets (including time and budget) are met.
• Initiate, issue, update and manage required project documentation according to the Project Management Process. Active management of the Health & Safety of activities and undertakings in relation to the project, to include (but not limited to); leading the Designer Risk Assessment process, conducting Risk Assessments, planning the installations and therefore writing Method Statements, ensuring throughout good consultation and communication to necessary parties, taking responsibility for the activities on site, and carrying out preventative or rectifying actions as the project demands.
• Manage the commercial aspect of projects, including preventing scope-creep, negotiating and issuing variation charges, and keeping costs within budgets. The Project Manager should be fully knowledgeable of the project scope at all times.
• Organise and Chair key project meetings, such as handover meetings and customer meetings.
• Working closely with the Installation Supervisor, oversee the installation phase, including support to site teams.
• Working closely with the Lead Designer (where applicable), oversee the design process, ensuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of the result. This includes the Structural Engineer approval of designs, and contributing to the safety review of the designs.
• Convey the appropriate professional image of the company to internal and external contacts, and therefore the job-holder must conduct themselves professionally, and ensure all communications (spoken and written) are to a high standard.
• Any other reasonably requested task commensurate with the level of the role including ‘step-up’ to management-level decision making

Education and Qualifications

HNC/HND in general, design or mechanical engineering, or similar qualifications / experience in lieu
NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent knowledge gained through experience

Experience

Experience of Project Management within a comparable environment
Experience of managing people and resources within an engineering environment
Experience of customer focused work
Experience of commercial work
